I have lived in Vermont since 1973, and have been painting and drawing all of my life. My mother was an art teacher, so what choice did I have?!!!
My primary goal is to work outside whenever possible, with studio refinement on paintings taking place during the winter. Abstract work-both paintings and drawings has always been central, even when I have injected myself into natural settings. I have participated in both solo and group shows, in Vermont and around New England. Over the years I have had a million different jobs; even a couple that could be called careers.
Currently I teach art at the Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility, and work for a local stained glass business. Some favorite artists are Emily Carr, Wayne Thibaud (his city scapes), Friedensreich Hundertwasser, and Frank Gehry. |
